Fascinated by the task of finding forgotten snippets of history and bringing them to the reader’s attention, author Farrukh Alavi can find perusing old books at his local library, or poring through historical documentaries at home. Occasionally he is known for exploring the Library and Archives building downtown.

A place his friends know about but rarely agree to visit when he asks. He has a degree in Philosophy but don’t worry, he also speaks plain English! He lives by the motto that history has a lot of hidden secrets that should not remain so, and endeavors to bring them to light. He lives happily in Ottawa, Ontario, a city large enough to be enjoyed for its Arts and Culture but just small enough to hide from the world while he works on his next book.
